Technician mobile app help
X-Ploy Technician is for authorized field technicians and service operators. If you cannot sign in, ask your tenant administrator to confirm your user account, role, and active technician assignment.
If schedules, appointments, notes, parts, photos, calls, or text threads do not load, confirm the device has network access and then contact support with the approximate time, technician name, tenant/company, and affected appointment or work order.
Location, clock, and job workflow
The technician app may require Location Services and Always Allow while a technician is on shift or actively working an appointment. Location supports clock evidence, route and ETA workflow, arrival and departure prompts, and on-site/off-site/parts-run job status.
If location access is unavailable while on shift, the app may block certain field workflow actions and record an office-visible compliance event so administrators can help resolve the issue.
Calls, texts, and customer communication
Customer texts and calls in X-Ploy Technician are company-routed through the configured CRM communications providers. The app should not open a technician's personal SMS app or native outbound dialer for customer communication.
If a company-routed call or text fails, do not use a personal phone number as a workaround unless your employer or tenant administrator gives a separate emergency instruction outside the app.
Photos, notes, and sync
Job photos and notes are attached to service records so office staff, technicians, and authorized tenant users can review field history. If uploads are pending, keep the app online and avoid signing out until sync completes.
If a sync issue persists, contact support with the appointment, work order, device model, app version, and the action you were taking.
